DEI for Embodied AI

DEI4EAI project aims to critique and change the existing common and controversial norms and provide tangible resources for practicing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) when developing embodied AI. It is relevant for fem tech (software, diagnostics, products, and services that use technology often to focus on women's health and well-being). Particualarly, it provides pointers about designing with issues of gender, race and ableism in mind. In the future, we would like to expand our insights and reflection to the development of fertility solutions, period-tracking app, pregnancy and nursing care.

My work revolves around on co-designing, co-developping and futuring embodied AI (chatbots, virtual agents, robots, IoTs) taking social justice into account, particularly diversity, equity and inclusion. I work with people that identify as women, trans women, queer and non-binary people. I focus mainly on life transitions (particularly parenthood, reproduction and lactation) and weight bias.
