Innovation and Implementation Support Tools

Innovation and Implementation Support Tools can help you, as a researcher, identify relevant innovation and implementation risks and opportunities, as well as concrete activities to address these.

On this website, we offer 2 types of tools:

  1. Baseline TechMed Assessment Tools that are integrated in the Way of Working at TechMed, as part of Research and Business Development Support and in education.
  2. Optional Toolkits that offer concrete activities to better understand the healthcare context from the perspective of patients/citizens and other (implementation) stakeholders.

1. TechMed Assessment Tools

1. Technology and Societal Readiness Levels (TRL/SRL)

TRL / SRL stands for Technology and Societal Readiness Levels. These tools help to identify the status of your research or innovation based on commonly accepted milestones used for grant schemes.

Nonadoption, Abandonment, and Challenges to the Scale-Up, Spread, and Sustainability of Health and Care Technologies (NASSS)

This tool helps to identify complexities in your research from an innovation and implementation perspective.

2. Toolkits

Patient Journey Mapping Toolkit

This toolkit offers a quick guide and templates for creating a patient journey map. This toolkit helps to identify and prioritise concrete activities to understand better the healthcare context from the perspective of patients/citizens.
