The Pioneers in HealthCare (PiHC) Innovation Fund stimulates bottom-up collaboration between the world of new technologies and medical practice. The fund is supported by the UT, MST, ZGT and Menzis and challenges technical researchers and medical specialists to initiate cross-institute research programs. For details, visit the PiHC website.
Annually, four joint research initiatives between the University of Twente and Radboudumc are granted with €80K within the Twente University RadBoudumc Opportunities (TURBO) program. Typically, these projects the start of new collaborations between the institutes, details here.
The partners of the TechMed Living Lab (in Dutch: TechMed Proeftuin) offer individual case support and a series of workshops to stimulate the medical impact and speed up the economic return of new healthcare concepts and products. Researchers and entrepreneurs in the field of medical technology can apply for support and join the bi-monthly workshops free of charge. This initiative is financially supported by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) via OP-Oost (Operational Programme East Netherlands).
The University of Twente ( UT) and the Westfälische Wilhelms- Universität Münster (WWU) offer financial support for BOOSTER projects to stimulate structural collaborations in Medical Imaging research between the two institutes. BOOSTER projects are 1 or 2 year projects with a focus on setting up or strengthening collaboration between UT and WWU and getting first results and knowledge.
