On 21 november 2017, the Pioneers in Healthcare award ceremony took place at the ZGT hospital in Hengelo. Out of 34 proposals, 11 innovative projects that aim to encourage collaboration between organizations in the region in the field of healthcare and medical technology were chosen. They were each awarded vouchers of EUR 50,000 or EUR 75,000. The winning initiatives focus on improving patient care through the use of new technology.
