The HORIBA ABX Micros ES 60 is a high-speed hematology analyzer. The blood count measurements are performed with minimal sample volumes. Roughly 60 samples can be measured in one hour. This makes it ideal for the lab-scale blood experiments performed in the AOT department. It is available in lab ZH282. With the Stago Genesia system, you can analyze thrombin generation in your platelet-poor plasma (PPP) samples. Using the Thromboscreen kit, you can perform the analysis both with and without thrombomodulin (TM). Thrombomodulin is a natural anticoagulant protein expressed on the surface of endothelial cells. By comparing thrombin generation with and without thrombomodulin, the assay provides insight into the balance between procoagulant and anticoagulant pathways in plasma. Available in lab ZH282. The Kirsch FROSTER MED 95 PRO-ACTIVE is a laboratory freezer which provides optimal conditions for long term storage of temperature-sensitive materials. It is used for the storage of blood for dialysis experiments performed in the same laboratory. The various proactive alarms in the freezer ensure its contents' viability. Available in lab ZH282.
