4TU.Health PhD competition @ MedTech Day 2025 - NeuroConnect

Are you working on research in Neurology or Neurotechnology? Are you affiliated with a Dutch University of Technology? Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to showcase your work to a vibrant community of academic, clinical, and industrial experts! MedTech Day 2025 – NeuroConnect invites graduate students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers from Eindhoven University of Technology, Delft University of Technology, Wageningen University & Research and University of Twente to submit abstracts for our 4TU.Health Poster Competition. This is your chance to present original research, clinical studies, or innovative developments in the field of neurology.

  • Submitting your work provides an opportunity to share your research with peers, clinicians, and industry leaders, thereby gaining valuable visibility and recognition. It’s a chance to engage in meaningful discussions, spark new collaborations, and be featured in the official conference poster booklet. Plus, poster winners will receive a unique reward: a scientific illustration of their work, crafted by a renowned graphic illustrator.

    Topics of Interest

    We welcome submissions on a wide range of subjects, including—but not limited to—neurological research and innovation, advances in epilepsy research, and the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases. Topics related to neuroimaging and medical devices are also highly encouraged.

    Submission Guidelines

    • Format: Word document (.docx)
    • Length: Max 1 page (including optional image and references). Min. font size Arial 10
    • Content: Title, list of authors (highlight the presenting author), abstract text, and optional image
    • Filename: abstract NeuroConnect_<university>_<LastName>_<FirstName>.docx

    Selected abstracts are requested to share a PDF of their poster in advance and bring their own printed poster in A1/B0 to the event. The poster PDF is requested for the preparation of the poster webpage. In addition, abstracts will be published in a handout incl. the QR code to the poster webpage. This handbook will be provided to all guests of MedTech Day 2025.

     Selection procedure

    • There are 16 poster boards available in the competition.
    • Posters will be selected from a panel of 4TU.Health members and the chosen contributions will be prominently displayed during the symposium.
    • Selection will be based on scientific merit and originality, as well as clarity, structure, relevance, and potential impact.
    • Selected posters will be communicated on October 1st 2025
    • Poster-PDF has to be sent to emtic@tue.nl by October 12th 2025

    Important Notes

    • Only one primary poster presenter, who is present on November 20th 2025
    • All correspondence will be directed to the presenting author
    • Selected abstracts and posters will be shared with all conference participants
    • Dedicated time is reserved in the program for poster presentations

MedTech Day 2025 - NeuroConnect

From lab to clinic: MedTech Day 2025 accelerates neuro-innovations

On Thursday, 20 November 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00,  the symposium MedTech Day – NeuroConnect will take place at Kempenhaeghe in Heeze, the meeting point where medical technology and brain research come together. The symposium is an initiative of TU/e, e/MTIC and the Kempenhaeghe expertise centre, focusing on the latest developments in epilepsy, Parkinson’s, neurodegenerative disorders and neurotechnology.

During MedTech Day – NeuroConnect, researchers, clinicians, companies and policymakers will come together to share ideas, knowledge and innovations. The aim is to foster collaboration and accelerate breakthrough solutions for neurological conditions, which pose a growing challenge to society.
