Keynote talk

Hendrik van Zwol

The day closes with a keynote unlike any other on the programme. Hendrik van Zwol is one of the Netherlands' leading voices on AI — an award-winning AI filmmaker who works with the technology daily, known from national television appearances including Eva Jinek and Jekels Jacht. Rather than talking about AI, he brings it to life on stage: live demonstrations, humour, bold statements and sharp predictions, built together with the audience in the room.

For the TechMed Event, Hendrik turns his lens on healthcare. What can the hospital of the future learn from how AI is already reshaping other industries? Where are the real opportunities, and where do the risks and ethical questions demand caution? Expect a closing session that is as entertaining as it is thought-provoking: no jargon-heavy slides, but a live, interactive experience that sends every visitor home with a sharper view of what AI could mean for the future of healthcare.

Biography

Hendrik van Zwol is one of the highest-rated AI speakers in the Netherlands. He combines sharp analysis of current events with humour, wonder and live demonstrations that actively involve the audience. No lengthy theory or dry slides, but stories and examples you can genuinely apply. What did ChatGPT sound like two years ago? What went wrong with a chatbot that started spontaneously handing out business class tickets? And how did Microsoft's AI end up falling in love with a human?

But what sets Hendrik apart from other AI speakers is that he is a maker. He works with AI himself every day and is an internationally award-winning AI filmmaker, with honours at the AI Cine Awards in Los Angeles and four Silver Awards at the New York Movie Awards. He was the first speaker in the Netherlands to bring an AI theatre show to the stage. Known from Eva Jinek, RTL Nieuws and Radio 538, and a regular AI expert on Jekels Jacht on NPO 2. His book Creativiteit Opnieuw Uitgevonden, nominated for Management Book of the Year, and his new book Missie AI (Van Duuren Media, autumn 2026) form the substantive foundation of his work. With more than 320 talks and trainings and an average rating above 9, he knows exactly how to make complex technology understandable and memorable for any audience.
