The plenary programme carries the full arc of the day: from urgency to action, in one shared, interactive experience. These are the moments when the entire audience comes together: the opening, the closing keynote and the networking lunch and Closing Vibes in between. No matter which sessions you follow throughout the day, the plenary programme is where everyone reconnects.
networking lunch
Halfway through the day, the programme makes room to slow down. From 12:00, the Networking Lunch, included in your ticket, is your moment to catch your breath, grab a bite, and pick up conversations that started in the morning sessions or start entirely new ones. Wander over to the Experience Centre to catch a demo you missed, or swing by TechMed Talent to meet the researchers behind the posters. No agenda, no sessions to rush to, just good food and the people who make the MedTech ecosystem what it is.
Closing vibes
The day doesn't end when the programme does. Closing Vibes, from 17:15, is where the TechMed Event winds down: more time, more space, and a good reason to stay a little longer. Good music sets the mood, drinks and bites keep the energy going, and the day's conversations get the room they deserve to continue, deepen, or simply turn into something new. Add your idea to the Wall of Ideas, one line on what stuck with you from the day, and stop by our themed photo wall, where our team will snap a picture on your own phone as proof you were there. No more sessions to catch, no more slides: just the people you met, the ideas you're still chewing on, and a relaxed way to close out the day together.
Award Ceremony
Two awards take the stage this year, reflecting what makes the Twente region unique: the connection between talent, research and clinical practice. The Niersfonds eHealth Voucher goes to a student, PhD candidate or young alumnus with a promising idea for digital healthcare or rehabilitation technology — an encouragement to take a good idea further. The Dr. G.J. van Hoytema Award honours a healthcare professional who, through education and collaboration, has made a lasting contribution to better, future-oriented care in the region. Two awards, two generations, the same message: innovation in healthcare starts with people who dare to make a difference.
