AI and Data-Driven Healthcare

The Hospital of the Future depends on care that reaches beyond its walls, and artificial intelligence is one of the technologies expected to make that possible. Yet the real challenge is not whether AI can add value in healthcare, but how we move it from promising innovation to genuine implementation, adoption and impact. This session asks: how do we ensure AI delivers real value for patients and healthcare professionals, not just in pilots, but structurally, at scale? Bringing together clinical, scientific, business and policy perspectives, the session looks at where AI is already proving itself in practice, what conditions, data, digital infrastructure, funding, and regulation are still missing for broader adoption, and how regional initiatives and national programmes can reinforce each other. A session for anyone who wants to look past the hype and understand what it actually takes for AI to become a reliable part of the hospital of the future.
