Personal information

Community building

To gain a better understanding of the knowledge and interests of the participants, we kindly ask you to complete the question below. This will provide an opportunity to make connections more quickly and become part of the Cardiovascular Health Community.

Exploring the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and big data analytics in cardiovascular health.

Simulation of physiologic flows and phenomena through mathematical modeling and high performance computing to understand the physiology and pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases.

Investigating the development of innovative biomaterials for cardiovascular implants, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. This includes research on the mechanical properties and interactions of these materials within the cardiovascular system.

Using patient-derived or genetically modified human stem cells (CRISPR-Cas-based) for advanced tissue engineering regenerative and personalized medicine, disease modeling, and drug discovery and testing. These approaches include state-of-the-art 3D bioprinting, organ-on-chip technologies and applications, microfluidics, high-content imaging, assay development, and points-of-care testing.

Using advanced imaging technologies such as MRI, CT, OCT, and (ultrafast) ultrasound to study the structure and function of the heart and blood vessels. This aids in early detection, accurate diagnosis, and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases.

Researching novel drug delivery methods and systems specifically targeted for cardiovascular diseases. This involves investigating controlled-release formulations, lipid nanoparticles, or other innovative delivery mechanisms to enhance drug efficacy and reduce side effects.

Designing and developing medical devices for diagnosing, treating, or managing cardiovascular conditions, but also for assisting or even replacing the damaged organs as a bridge to recovery or to transplantation, or as destination therapy. This may involve wearable sensors, extracorporeal or implantable devices, or technologies for monitoring and intervention.

Studying rehabilitation strategies and technologies for individuals recovering from cardiovascular events like heart attacks or strokes or being treated with mechanical circulatory and respiratory support devices. This might include physical therapy methods, assistive devices, or innovative rehabilitation protocols.

Investigating how new technology and interventions impact health outcomes, care pathways, healthcare delivery, and costs, and how this impact can be maximised.

Regulations data & Images

As a participant of the event, you have to fill in personal data. With this data, we can inform you about the practical aspects of the event. We will handle your personal data with care and will not use your data to inform you about other activities unless you indicate that you agree to this.

Keep in mind that all acquired visual material (photos/videos) during the event can be published by the organization as a report of the event (not for promotional purposes). If you prefer not to be visible in the picture, then it is advisable to take a seat in the middle or at the back of the audience, where you are not (well) in the picture. If a close-up photo is taken of you, you can ask the photographer on-site to remove it by yourself or you can contact the organizer of the event to solve this matter with the photographer.
