High school students from the 4th, 5th or 6th year of the vwo explore the world behind the medical-technical study programmes of the University of Twente.
Pre-U organizes the Medicamp in cooperation with the TechMed Centre and the study programmes Technical Medicine, Biomedical Technology and Health Sciences. During the camp, the students get a little preview of what the life of a real doctor looks like. Students will gain new knowledge by attending lectures and they will apply this knowledge when they are working on cases. Other than that, the Medicamp’s programme holds several practical classes, that are meant to improve the student’s technical/medical skills, like stitching. Next to the substantive classes, students also participate in various informal group activities in the evenings.
