Abstract
Cardiovascular disease is the number 1 cause of death worldwide. Unfortunately the number of new cardiovascular medicines coming to market has been steadily decreasing. We have developed a new cardiovascular screening platform using human 3D cardiac tissues in a organ-on-chip device. Furthermore we have successfully mimicked cardiac disease using this platform.
