Abstract
The start of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) was the reason to focus on an impulse for the entire Dutch Life Sciences & Health (LSH) ecosystem. The impulse to the LSH ecosystem can lead to an increase in activity, which can benefit patients, society as a whole and the economy. The joint action of all parties involved to present the Netherlands as a whole is an essential condition in this respect. With the preparation and implementation of a National Action Program "New opportunities for the Life Sciences & Health top sector", the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport are committed to national coordination. From January 1, 2020, Clémence Ross-van Dorp will act as an ambassador on behalf of EZK and VWS to optimally capitalize on the economic, social and scientific opportunities that the arrival of the EMA offers.
