boardmember - Twentse Noabers

Tim Jongman has been self-employed for more than ten years at the intersection of housing, welfare and care. In addition, he works as a research consultant and lecturer at the University of Twente on the themes of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Tim started his career as a technical business manager in real estate development, where he came across transitions in long-term care. Since then, his focus has been on projects where his two interests, real estate development and transition of care, come together. Tim experienced in these projects that the real innovation within the current system is difficult to achieve. It is time for a real bottom-up approach in which the broad basis of innovation lies in the community and therefore with the citizens themselves. He is also active as a board member at Twente Noabers; a regional cooperative of citizens collectives.
