Analyst Intern
Do you want to make a real impact with your analytical skills? Do you want to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive economy? Are you driven to make a difference in the world by helping companies accelerate change in the energy & resource transition, global value chains and/or the financial sector? Do you want to develop yourself in the growing field of impact measurement and be part of an ambitious and driven organization?Bachelor and Master thesis on topics related to solar energy
The Saive research group develops light-management strategies and photonic materials that push the limits of solar energy conversion efficiency. Furthermore, we investigate the properties of solar irradiance and of the surroundings of solar farms to optimize energy yield. We offer Bachelor and Master thesis on a variety of topics related to solar energy, suitable for students with applied physics, nanotechnology, sustainable energy, engineering, chemistry, materials science, or similar background.
For further information email to greenhub@utwente.nlEnergy System Transformation with Offshore Solar Internship
We are currently looking for an intern to investigate potential installation sites for commercial projects for offshore floating solar worldwide. You will search for islands or other interesting locations around the world that could benefit from offshore solar power supply and assess the feasibility of starting a project at those sites. You will develop energy system model tools to assess potential, possibly together with (floating) wind and energy storage / power to gas. Further analysis concerns e.g. projections of solar irradiance and energy demand for the location.Information guide Embassy Science Fellows
Master Thesis - Climate neutral campus in europe – the eciu university’s strategic challenge
ECIU University seeks for learners who take responsibility and shape a sustainable future with new mindsets, behaviours, technologies, and innovations. The big idea for 2022 is to develop a concept for a climate neutral campus.Master Thesis Internship on Thermodynamics of Circularity Assessment
By 2035 almost all new cars sold in the EU will be electric cars containing a battery. As a consequence, by that time about 2 million Electric Vehicle Batteries will reach each year the end of their …MSc Assignment - Modeling study of the Heat management in Solid Oxide electrolyzer systems
In the future electricity network, containing large shares of fluctuating renewables, flexibility of demand and storage of electricity to match supply are essential. Depending on the service application required, this storage can be realized in many ways, e.g. by storing electricity in batteries, by conversion of electricity to hydrogen that can be stored in salt caverns or other hydrogen carriers (e.g. metal hydride, NH3, methanol..), by storing the electrical energy in flywheels or in compressed air energy storage or by electrically heating up a heat storage, that can be discharged over a power cycle. Reversible Solid Oxide Cell (ReSOC) systems, operating in both high temperature electrolyzer and fuel cell operations, are a promising competitive technology with low range cost-of-storage with potential large storage capacity.
You are an enthusiastic WO student looking for an MSc assignment of 6-9 months. You have a Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with a strong preference for modelling work, willing to learn more about Re-SOC technology and other competitive storage systems. You are pro-active and independent with good communication skills in English.Offshore Solar Integration in Wind Parks Internship
We are currently looking for an intern to investigate the potential of integrating offshore floating solar in offshore wind parks in Europe. You will assess the existing parks and planned parks, as well as their area sizes, offshore wind capacities and grid connections. An additional scope can include exploring implementation in policies and regulations.PhD on Structural Health Monitoring for lifetime extension of Irish wind farms
Wind turbines have life expectancy of about 20 to 25 years. About 28% of the European wind power
are currently older than 15 years which means that they will soon reach the end of their designed
service life. Similar to other European countries, there will be a significant number of wind turbines in
Ireland reaching their end of life beyond 2025.Web-development intern at PLAEX
