Our summer school is focused on Bachelor’s students in their second to last or last year, and entry level Master’s students, but is also open for anyone with broad interests and an inquisitive mind.
Courses and keynotes at CuriousU are all in English. Therefore, CuriousU is a great opportunity to practice your English language skills! Nevertheless we expect you to have a good command of the English language (e.g. IELTS 6.0, B2, TOEFL 80 internet based test or equivalent). These language requirements are your own responsibility and will enable you to follow the course lectures, write papers and participate actively in the discussions. Therefore applicants do not need to prove the suggested language skills in the registration process. If you doubt if you will be admitted you can use our question based admission tool prior to your registration.
Are you between 15 to 18 years?
Have a look at summer camp InspireU. InspireU is an event for both international and Dutch students who haven't yet started their university careers, but are finishing up their high-school education. If you are anywhere between 15 to 18 years old, you are good to go admission wise.
CuriousU does not offer any scholarships. Please ask the International Office of your (home) University if they can provide you with a scholarship.
Get your day off to an inspiring start by listening to one of our uplifting keynote speakers over breakfast. Once you’re all fired up, you’ll join in the morning session of your course for the day. That might be a workshop, a lecture or a project depending on the programme you choose. You’ll then join the other festival-goers for a themed lunch in an informal, interactive setting. After lunch you’ll dive back into your course. The evenings are devoted to the festival with plenty of fun and socializing.
We offer several accommodation upgrades, including a log cabin and a hotel. A tent (including air mattress and sleeping bag) is included in the standard fee. Read more details about the accommodation options.
Our Sport Centre on campus has a number of sports halls, a large gym, a dojo and an indoor pool. On campus there is a brand new running track, an outdoor pool with water heated by solar energy, a variety of different sports fields and even an outdoor climbing wall. With your CuriousU ticket you can use all these activities for free!
