Refund of tuition fee on de-enrolment

  • The refund of tuition fees will be carried out in 12ths. For example: if you want to de-enrol as of the 1st of May you can receive refund over the months of May, June, July and August.
  • Your de-enrolment request in June, July or August will not be accepted, you don’t have the right to repayment of tuition fee of those months.
  • If you are entitled to repayment of tuition fees, this will be transferred to the bank account known to us. 
  • The restitution of tuition fees will take place around the following dates:

One instalment covers a payment period of 2.4 month. Which means that when de-enrolling as of 1 December or 1 February, payment of the tuition fee is not complete yet when you have paid in instalments.

*If you request for de-enrolment as of 1 December or 1 February, and you have paid in instalments, you still owe (a small) part of the tuition fee. For more information, have a look at the calculation examples below.

If you request for de-enrolment in the months September, November, January, March and May for the 15th of the month, we can take care of this request before an instalment take place. Then we will not debit the whole amount but a part of it. If you request after the 15th we will debit an entire instalment. After de-enrolment the overpayment will be refunded to your account. 

Calculation examples

Payment method authorisation in five instalments

You pay the statutory tuition fee and you will be de-enrolled from 1 October. You have paid the first instalment.

  • You did pay € 412.00 (excl. administration costs)
  • You have to pay for the month September € 171.67 (€2,060/12)
  • Repayment € 412.00 – € 171.67 = € 240.33

You pay the statutory tuition fee and you will be de-enrolled from 1 December. You have paid the first instalment (2.4 months) and you still owe part of the tuition fee (0.6 month).

  • You did pay € 412.00 (excl. administration costs)
  • You have to pay for the month September € 515.00 (€2060/12*3)
  • You still owe € 412.00 – € 515.00 = € 103.00

You pay the statutory tuition fee and you will be de-enrolled from 1 February. You have paid two instalments (4.8 months) and you still owe part of the tuition fee (0.2 month).

  • You did pay € 824.00 (excl. administration costs)
  • You have to pay for 5 months € 858.33 (€ 2,060/12*5)
  • You still owe € 858.33 – € 824.00 = € 34.33

You pay the institutional tuition fee for a technical Bachelor and you will be de-enrolled from 1 May. You have paid four instalments.

  • You did pay € 7,200.00 (excl. administration costs)
  • You have to pay for 8 months € 6,000 (€ 9,000/12*8)
  • Repayment € 7,200.00 - € 6,000 = € 1,200

Payment method authorisation in one time and single transfer

You pay the statutory tuition fee. You will be de-enrolled from 1 March.

  • You did pay € 2,060.00
  • You have to pay for 6 months € 1,030.00
  • Repayment € 2,060 - € 1,030.00 = € 1,030.00

You pay the institutional tuition fee for a technical Master and you will be de-enrolled from 1 May.

  • You did pay € 14,250.00
  • You have to pay for 8 months € 9,500
  • Repayment € 14,250.00 - € 9,500 = € 4,750
