Performance | Singer Songwriter Night 1 Performance has been cancelled

Wednesday 7 October 2026 19:30 - 22:00

Pure Music, Real Stories

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the performance has been cancelled.

New at the Vrijhof: Singer-Songwriter Nights. During this atmospheric evening, three singer-songwriters will perform their original songs. An evening full of musical variety, featuring acoustic songs in a range of musical styles.

Lineup:

Indie folk

Under the stars in the grass, surrounded by friends, dreaming of love, loss, and myths. Tijs van Rongen lets you experience these heavy themes with a sense of hope through his indie-folk music. Inspired by artists like Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, and Adrianne Lenker, Tijs conveys his message through haunting music.

Indie pop-rock

iBfrankB’s indie pop-rock songs come straight from the heart. Sometimes cheerful, sometimes sad, but always sincere. They reflect a wide spectrum of bands and musicians, so it’s hard to pinpoint his main sources of inspiration, but The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Israel Nash, The Beatles, World Party, Paul Weller, Buffalo Tom, U2, and Ryan Adams are regulars on his playlist. Frank Bouwman works at the University of Twente, but is also a self-taught musician and singer-songwriter.

Atmospheric country-folk

It’s as if the sun is rising on a beautiful spring day and the world is waking up. That’s how Maris Mae draws you into her atmospheric country-folk music, full of stories—always with a positive undertone. She loved writing stories as a child and later developed this skill further through her songwriting.
