4 theatre groups

The NEST association consists of 4 theatre groups, and each of them has 3 open lessons in the first 3 weeks of September, led by the respective director. Musical and TheatreLab are on Tuesdays, while Toneel and InterNEST are on Thursdays. The content of the open lessons is fully prepared by the directors, below are descriptions of each group, so that you can pick an open lesson which will suit you best.

Toneel
This group performs in English. In Toneel, you will perform an existing script and in this academic year the group will work on not 1 but 2 plays, each of them taking half a year or 2 quartiles to rehearse for, which makes it suitable for people that want to commit only for half a year. Toneel will perform 2 Agatha Christy Murder Mysteries in the upcoming year.The group works on two performances this year and rehearses on Thursday.

TheatreLab
This group perform

s in English. At TheatreLab, you will create a play together with the group and then perform it. There will be a central theme to guide the creative process. If acting alone isn’t enough for you and you also want to be involved in making theatre, this is the group for you. The group works on one performance per year and rehearses on Tuesday.

Musical
This group performs in Dutch. At the Musical group, you will perform an existing musical, such as Spring Awakening, 3 Musketiers, or Into the Woods. The group works on one performance per year and rehearses on Tuesday.
InterNEST

This group performs in English. At InterNEST, you will play an existing script, which in recent years has been a Shakespearean Tragedy and a modern adaptation of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Checkov. The group works on one performance per year and rehearses on Thursday.
