Actual sports options until 16 March (update 24 February)

Due to recent developments regarding COVID-19 measures (23 February), we have more possibilities for outdoor sports! Below you can find all the important measures regarding sports. 

The options we have for sports, are displayed below.

Please be aware!
For sports at the UT it is necessary to make a reservation. Please read the information below if you want to make use of our offer. 

  • Make a reservation

    Make a reservation online
    To use one of the sports options, you’ll need to make a reservation through our DMS system. Please be aware that you can make a reservation starting 24 hours before the start of an activity. For swimming, it is possible to make a reservation 3 hours prior to a timeslot. 

    If you want to make a reservation, we ask you kindly to make a reservation for 1 timeslot only. It is not allowed to book 2 or more timeslots a day.

     You can make a reservation by the following steps:

    1.       Go to and log in.
    2.       Click on the menu item, Bookings.
    3.       In the Bookings section select the sports location, which you want to make a reservation for, by clicking the ‘Room’ drop down menu.
    4.       Select in the calendar the timeslot you want to make a reservation for, if the timeslot is red you can’t make a reservation. If the timeslot is green you should be able to make a reservation.
    5.       After your reservation, you’ll receive an e-mail confirmation (in Dutch). Bring this confirmation and your UnionCard/CampusCard to the sports location and show it to one of our employees. You can bring the confirmation in a digital form. 

  • Cancel a reservation

    How to cancel a reservation

    Our grouplessons and fitness have a maximum of participants during a timeslot. Therefore it is necessary to delete your reservation if you are not going to make use of it. This way your spot will come available for someone else. 

    If you made a reservation for a specific timeslot but you can't make it anymore, it is necessary to cancel your reservation. If you want to cancel a reservation, follow the steps below: 

    1. In, go to bookings. 

    2. In the 'bookings' page, select 'current reservations' 

    3. In 'current reservations' you can find your reservation. Click on 'delete reservation' and your reservation is cancelled. 


    If you do not show up for a reservation and you did not delete your reservation or you have made more than 1 reservation for the fitness, there can be concequences. Therefore we ask you kindly to cooperate. 

    We want to facilitate as many athletes as possible, we need your help with that.

  • UTrack workout

    Starting Monday 22 February, we have something brand new! We will be starting with outdoor circuit training at our UTrack. So be ready for a new workout, read all the info below!

    Circuit training
    During the training you will be guided by one of our instructors. The instructors will set up a circuit which you can follow, after an exercise you will move on to the next one. In total you will be doing a workout of 60 minutes. 

    How it works
    Make sure you are ready at 18:30h at one of the exercises at the UTrack, it is important to do a warming up by yourself before you start with the circuit training. This way you are ready to start.
    At 18:30h, our instructor will give a signal when you can start with the circuit training. An exercise will have a duration of 60 seconds. After that you have 30 seconds to get to the next exercise. 
    Please keep in mind that you can only do an exercise with a maximum of 2 people due to the COVID-19 measures. 

    Please note: On Wednesday we will gather at the UTrack, but the training will continue at the square at the Upark. You may bring your own sports mat. 

    When: Monday and Wednesday
    Time: 18:30 - 19:30h (You can start at one of the exercises)
    Duration: 60 minutes
    Location: UTrack University of Twente, at the grass field around the UTrack (The exercises are highlighted with posts)
    Participants: Maximum of 15 participants. 
    Required subscription: UnionCard or CampusCard

  • Online courses and workout videos!

    The live classes have stopped, but we still have some options for you!

    New online courses
    In these difficult times it is important to keep fit, but also to be able to relax your mind and reduce your stress level. Our online courses Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation will help you to achieve this. 

    Online courses in Period 3
    In the first week of February, we will start with new sessions for Yoga (level 1 and 2), Tai Chi, Tai Chi advanced and Meditation! All the courses will be given online. Registration has already openend, so you can purchase the course you would like to join now.

  • Sports associations

    Our sports associations will receive an e-mail from the Student Union with more information about the possibilities for their association. 

  • Outdoor accommodation

    For all our sports options, we have the following rules: 

    - People who are 26 years or younger can train together with their sports assoications, only in a team training session. 
    - People who are older than 26 years can only sport in a group limit of 2 people. 
    - Sports that are not related to an association (individual sports), are still limited to a group maximum of 2 people. 
    - Only possible with a valid UnionCard or CampusCard
    - Only possible on a safe distance of 1,5 meters. 

  • Tennis

    Do you want to make a reservation for tennis? Please note that you can only play with 2 players on 1 court! One person has to make the reservation and bring the (digital) confirmation, but all the participants need to show their personal UnionCard/CampusCard! 
    It is only possible to book the smashcourt. Bring your confirmation and your UnionCard/CampusCard to the court and show them to our Sports Centre employee.

    Please note: Starting Wednesday 3 March, our tennis association TC Ludica will restart their training. Therefore it is possible that not all of our tenniscourts are available for reservation on specific times. 

    You can sign up 24 hours prior to a reservation through DMS.

    Please be aware that your reservation is valid for a playing time of 75 minutes. UnionCard or CampusCard is required.

    We have set up a sports protocol which you need to abide by if you are using one of our accommodations. You can find the protocol here.

    At every sport location there will be Sports Centre employees who will make sure you can sport safely!
