Latest update on the coronavirus

University of Twente is monitoring the situation around the coronavirus closely. For that, we are in touch with the regional health services (GGD) and the national institute for public health and environment (RIVM). We do follow their recommendations and instructions in taking further action. At present, there is no known case of coronavirus at the UT campus.

What can I do and does the UT do?

We do find it important that members of the UT community are well informed on the coronavirus. What is the current status? What should you do (and not do)? And what actions are undertaken by the University of Twente?

We have set up a web page where we have gathered all relevant information. This page is available in English and Dutch.

Information for prospective students

The deadline for registration for candidates coming from non-EU/EEA countries is 1 May. This is a fixed date - a shift of deadline is not possible - as several procedures require a timely application. Please be aware that you may experience difficulties to enrol for a study programme at the University of Twente for the coming academic year, as a result of measures taken by other organisations. E.g. it might be difficult to obtain certain formal documents or take part in a language test. If you do have any further questions, get in touch with the Student Services desk via email.
