Th!nk with pride

During last year’s Rainbow Week the big letters University of Twente in front of the campus were transformed into Diversity of Twente and rainbow flags were waving all over the place. A clear statement that diversity matters and that the LGBTIQ+ community is welcome at the UT! But what happens when the flags are lowered and everyday patterns return? How is life for people with other orientations than straight? During this debate policy maker Lotte ten Vaarwerk MSc (Municipality of Enschede) and Sterre Mkatini MA (Diversity Officer UT) speak about their efforts to create safe and inclusive environments in Enschede and on campus. A panel consisting of UT-students and staff talks about their experiences. Moderation: Alex Jonkhart (Th!nk with pride) and Hiska Bakker MA (Studium Generale). With complimentary drinks afterwards.
