Studium Generale: Mobile phones and health

Everybody is using mobile phones, but are they actually causing any harm? As much as some people firmly discard the possibility of any risk, others equally firmly believe in it. But how do our phones, the antennas around us and our wifi interact with our body? Are some people more sensitive to electromagnetic radiation? Do we risk brain cancer? What can we learn from experimental studies, and what do we know from large population studies if people are exposed 24/7? This lecture tries to separate fact from fiction.

Dr. Anke Huss is affiliated with the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (UU) and a member of the Electromagnetic Fields Committee (EMF) Health Council of the Netherlands.
