Energy and Economy
Participating Studies: Mechanical Engineering (MSc-ME), Sustainable Energy Technology (MSc-SET)
Goals: The course offers basic understanding of energy markets, energy politics and natural resource politics, topics which are at the core of the socio-economic and political context in which (sustainable) energy technology is designed, produced and applied.
The course Energy and Economy is one of the three non-technical courses, basically teaching on the socio-economic context of sustainable energy technology. Energy and economy covers the economic and societal function and functioning of the energy system.
