Together, we need to be alert for any symptoms, so we can act adequately to prevent the coronavirus from spreading. You may be faced with a COVID-19 infection yourself or someone near you. On this page, you will find more information on the various situations that you may encounter as a student or employee. Vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19? It does matter if you are vaccinated for COVID-19 or have recovered from it in the last 6 months. This is the case when you: Have been vaccinated twice with the AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 14 days before today. Have been vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine at least 28 days before today You have been tested positive for COVID-19 and have received the first vaccine of one of the vaccines mentioned above at least 14 days before today. COVID-19 measures move with perceived health risk UT's approach focuses on allowing physical education to continue as much as possible, in line with the Dutch national sectoral plan for higher education, which states that remote education is not optimal, particularly for the wellbeing of students and employees. In the new situation, the Dutch national government will indicate which health risk level is applicable. Each risk level has its rules and instructions, which we have designed specifically for the UT situation. The full text of the UT approach is available for download online. A healthy workplace As UT, we find it important that you as our employee have a safe and healthy workplace at home, that enables you to work from the home in a sustainable way. In order to achieve this, it is important that your home office and the way you work from your home meets several requirements: make sure there is proper ventilation and a pleasant temperature; take breaks regularly and make sure you move around; make sure your working posture is good and that your workplace is equipped and adjusted in the right way. - Notification form for COVID-19 casesSharing cases of COVID-19 may benefit the University of Twente, as it helps us in taking adequate measures in preventing the virus from spreading further. Team leaders and programme directors may use this form to inform the UT's Executive Board, the UT's safety & health advisors as well as the Faculty Board or Director of their service department about any known cases. Confidentiality As being tested positive on COVID-19 is considered personal medical information, privacy regulations (AVG) apply to this process. All cases are being treated confidentially. Employees and students are not required to inform UT about a positive COVID-19 test, though we do encourage to inform us as it will help in establishing our approach. - Wearing face masks at the University of TwenteWhether wearing a face mask is mandatory in our UT buildings depends on the scenario we are in. Of course, everyone is free to wear a face mask if it contributes to their sense of safety.
