UT researchers considering an ERC application can count on professional assistance throughout preparation. Aside from the formal info and training moments (see below), candidates can expect support at different levels of preparation.
A general ERC information session is the first step in the yearly preparation scheme provided by the University of Twente. In this session, ERC National Contact Point Doenja Koppejan (RVO) informs on the type of grants, eligibility criteria and evaluation process. Complementing this information, an ERC laureate shares personal experience during grant application.
Next ERC info session will be on April 12 2018. Please contact the firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to attend.
11.00-11.45 ERC grants: the rules of the game
Conditions of participation, including eligibility and evaluation criteria. “Go/ no-go” considerations for an ERC application: PI's profile and research idea.
11.45-12.30 Tips and tricks for a successful application
Aspects considered key for getting an ERC grant: reflections from evaluation reports and laureates’ experiences. A UT ERC laureate will share experience in the first person.
For those wishing to apply for the ERC 2019 calls, the info session precedes an intensive ERC MasterClass provided by the EU-Office and the UT's Centre for Training and Development. This training is designed to go deep into proposal preparation (including working on research idea and CV), for those committed to applying in the coming ERC calls. Please check out the Centre for Training and Development's website for more information on the MasterClass.
The next ERC MasterClass is scheduled for June 21, 2018. Please register to assure a place.
