Webinar on the European Green deal call: funding for innovative solutions for a resilient, sustainable Europe

We invite all experienced researchers working on climate, sustainability, circular economy, energy, biodiversity, food production, building, transport, health, citizen empowerment and all related topics to join our Webinar on the European Green Deal on 13 August 2020 from 11:00 to 12:00.

The European Green Deal is the European Commission’s roadmap for making the EU’s economy sustainable and to reach a climate-neutral Europe in 2050. Substantial funding will become available in the coming 3-4 years, starting with the Green Deal Call that will open as early as September this year with an expected deadline in January 2021. Approximately 1 billion Euros is made available for research and innovation to kick-start the environmental, social, and economic transformations required to tackle the climate challenge. It is also expected that approximately 30% of Horizon Europe and of the Recovery Fund is intended for climate-related research in the upcoming years.

Given the broad scope of the Green Deal Call, we invite researches working on ideas relevant for the Green Deal (i.e. sustainability, energy, environment, resilience, circular economy, biodiversity, agriculture, food, building, transport, health, behavioral and social change) to join our Webinar on the Green Deal call. In the webinar we will inform you about:

  • Specifics of the upcoming Green Deal call and how to apply
  • Expected funding for Green Deal related research in Horizon Europe (2021-2027)
  • How to prepare yourself for an application in the upcoming years and how the UT Grants Office can assist
  • Green Deal related research at UT (overview)

The event will be recorded, so if you are unavailable on 13 August, but would like to participate, please sign up as well. You will receive the recording afterwards.
