MyoSuite, in support with Chair of Neuromuscular Robotics, ET Faculty, is excited to announce the launch of MyoChallenge 2025, an official competition at NeurIPS 2025.
This global challenge invites participants to push the boundaries of physiologically realistic musculoskeletal control through data-driven methods. From advanced researchers and graduate students to curious undergraduates just starting their journey, everyone with an interest in machine learning, biomechanics, neuroscience, sports science, or robotics is welcome to take part.
Competition Overview
MyoChallenge 2025 tasks participants with developing controllers for physiologically realistic musculoskeletal models of the lower and upper limbs to achieve human-level athletic intelligence. The competition offers two tracks:
- Soccer: Train a musculoskeletal humanoid to perform agile locomotion, coordination, and ball control.
- Table Tennis: Develop precise upper-limb control for fast, paddle-based striking tasks.
The challenge is already live, and we encourage early registration to secure your spot.
Register your team via EvalAI.
Resources and Support:
This year, all participants will have access to a rich set of resources, including:
- Tutorials on Getting Start with the Challenge & Baselines
- A YouTube Playlist of MyoChallenge and its Tasks.
- A discussion forum for all your questions and concerns.
- An advocacy website to connect with other participants.
- Video2Motion bot to generate your own data for training.
Prizes and Recognition
Top-performing teams will be recognized with awards and prizes, including track-specific honors and student awards. Details on prize categories are available on our website.
