Boost research quality

By collaborating with relevant partners both nationally and internationally, the University of Twente gives a boost to the quality of her research.

The UT is taking part in the regional network of knowledge partners and is as such part of Novel-T, together with the Saxion university of applied sciences, the municipality of Enschede and the Overijssel province. The aim is to strengthen the economic climate and to create 10,000 new high-quality jobs in Twente.

The 4TU.Federation is a combined force of four technical universities in the Netherlands (Twente, Delft, Eindhoven and Wageningen), who dedicate themselves to strengthening and joining technological knowledge. This is happening in, for instance, within the 4TU Centres of Excellence.

The University of Twente is part of the Technological Top Institutes (TTI's) in the Netherlands. The TTI's perform research programmes on specific themes that are of national economic importance and international significance. They are collaboration projects between knowledge institutes, companies and the government.

The ECIU (European Consortium of Innovative Universities) consists of ten European universities and two partner universities outside of Europe with a distinguishing DNA. They are collaborating frequently, both at research level and in the area of transferring scientific knowledge.
