Participate Registration Form

Great that you want to share your project through PARTICIPATE! We believe it's important that you are informed about how we work. Therefore, please read our introduction first. It outlines what you can expect, what we ask of you, and what we can achieve together!


Have you read our introduction? Then you can now sign up to share your project via PARTICIPATE.

Fill in the information under each heading. These are the same headings used on the project page. We provide guidelines for the maximum word count and content for each heading.

This text will appear on the page with ongoing projects. What is your research about, and who are you looking for?

Project page

The information you fill in here will appear directly on your project page.

This text is similar to "Research summary," but can be slightly more detailed. Here, mention the core of your research: who are you looking for and why?

  • Start with the higher goal.
  • Mention the new development, idea, or what is still unknown.
  • Describe what you will be researching.
  • Give a general idea of who you need (a detailed description will follow later).
  • Describe concretely what the person will do during the research.
  • Answer the question: why is this useful or enjoyable for the person to participate in?
  • Start by specifying the period during which the person will be required to participate.
  • Mention specific locations if applicable (including transportation considerations).
  • Highlight when someone can participate (in a positive way).
  • If applicable, include exclusion criteria.

Include anything that couldn't be mentioned above, such as any compensation or incentives for participation.

Here, you provide your details from People Pages. You explain what you do and who you are.

  • What is your role and what do you do at the University of Twente, explained simply?
  • Which parties are you collaborating with on this project?
  • Who is funding this research?
  • What information is needed to request?
    (Standard: name and email address)
  • What will your response time be when you receive a registration?
    Provide a clear timeframe for your response, such as "within 3-5 business days."
  • What can the person expect after registration?
    For example: "You will receive more information about the study, and we will schedule an appointment for the group interview."

The image should visually represent the subject of the project in one clear image.

  • The photo must be landscape orientation (horizontal).
  • It should be royalty-free.
  • Dimensions: 3200 x 1280 pixels.
  • Ensure the quality is high, with no text in the image.
  • What is your first and last name?
  • Which email address may we use to contact you?
  • May the registrations be sent to the same email address? Yes or No, they may be sent to: [email address]

What happens when someone registers for your research?

The person who registers will receive an automatic email from the project contact's email address, formatted in UT's house style, with the following content:

Dear (first and last name),
Thank you for your registration.
We are excited that you want to participate in our project. We will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 3 business days.

Kind regards,
(Your name)

The researcher (you) and the mailbox meedoen@utwente.nl will also receive an automatic email with the following content and attachment:

A new registration has been received for this research. The contact details are attached. An automatic email has been sent to the registrant.
