Bachelor-before-Master rule; soft cut exception for delayed bachelor graduation caused by Covid-19

Normally the "Bachelor-before-Master rule" applies for all PSTS applicants. This means a student must have completed a bachelor's degree before being allowed to start in the master's programme.

However, the Dutch government legally allows to temporarily soften this rule for students who are delayed in completing their bachelor due to COVID-19-related reasons. Students with a delay due to other reasons have to finish their bachelor before they can start with their master as usual.

PSTS will allow this 'soft cut' exception for September 2023 enrolment, using the following specific requirements:

General requirement:

The student must be able to demonstrate that the delay was caused by COVID-19-related reason(s).

Additional requirements:

(1) maximum 15 EC delay in the bachelor;

(2) the bachelor must be finished by 1-9-2023.

If this applies to you, contact the PSTS programme staff a.s.a.p. when it is clear that you will not complete your bachelor before August 31st 2022, via y.c.h.dethouars@utwente.nl
