Love is in the air… or at least it will be after PE-NUT's Valentine Day Event !!
Sure, we represent and support PhDs and EngDs, but we also care about you as a whole human being. Because what’s better than love?
(…Okay fine, maybe getting your paper accepted. But love is definitely top-three.)Join us for a special Valentine’s evening full of social mingling, light-hearted chaos, and a main activity that Enschede is absolutely not ready for !!
💚💛❤️ Relationship-Status Ribbons
At the entrance, grab a ribbon that silently speaks your vibe for the night:
- Green — Single & ready to mingle
- Yellow — It’s complicated (and you might open up after a drink or two...)
- Red — Happily taken 😊
Kick off the night with a free welcome drink from PE-NUT, and warm up by chatting with old friends and new faces before the main show begins.
🎤 Main Act: Pitch and Pair! — Live Dating Profiles (starts at 9 PM)
This is where the magic happens. You will take the stage and pitch your single friend (or friends) in a fun 3-5 minute “live dating profile”, projected on the big screen for everyone to enjoy.
Tell us why your friend is amazing, exceptional and absolutely date-material. Pictures and videos are encouraged ! Be creative, be bold, be funny.
Before pitching, please confirm your friend is okay with being pitched and consent to the presentation material.

💘 After the Pitches: Mix, Match & Mini-Games
Once the pitches are done, we will keep the energy going with easy, low-pressure icebreaker games to help you chat with anyone who caught your eye.
All activities are optional: the goal is simple to help you laugh, talk, and maybe meet someone special (or make a new friend!).
We hope to see you there! Who knows… your future Valentine might be in the room.
Note: few days before the event takes place a member of the organization team will contact you to make sure that your presentation is ready and offer help if needed!
