The Bedrijvendagen Twente 2019 will take place from the 4th of February till the 28th of March. The event is focussed on facilitating contact between students, post-graduates, and alumni with companies. Visit the career fair on the 13th and 14th of February at the Ganzenveld and talk to one of the 150 companies attending our event. Apply for activities during the Ambition weeks for more personal contact with companies of your interest.

Are you looking for an industry job once you have finished your PhD? On the 6th of March we organise two workshop especially for PhD’ers who want to know more about finding a job in the industry. Save the date(s) and register as soon as possible once the registration opens on the 7th of January.*

Details: We are at the beginning of the next industrial revolution. A lot will change in the labor market in the next years. Data, algorithms and artificial intelligence will be big drivers of the revolution. Do you want to know how to be a part of this disruption?

Workshop - Blueprint to find an industry job after your Ph.D. – 6 March 13:30 - 17:00

Details: When most people think about a job in Industry, their only option is a job in the same field as in their PhD research. PhD in anthropology? Only possible job is in an anthropology business.

But there are smart PhD graduates that use their transferable skills, they double down on networking and master LinkedIn, to launch a successful career in Industry. In whole new disciplines!

Organizer: Julio Peironcely from ‘Next Scientist’ and Data Fitter

Julio Peironcely received his PhD from Leiden University for his research on automated de novo metabolite identification with mass spectrometry and cheminformatics. After graduating, he started working as a data science consultant in companies like Deloitte and Microsoft. He recently started his own company, Data Fitter,  where he provides freelance and consulting services in data science. In this capacity, he is Head of Data Science team at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. From his blog Next Scientist, he helps PhD students stay motivated, graduate on time and find a job or position after graduation.
