Seven tech start-ups from Twente to attend CES Las Vegas

Seven start-ups from Twente with a link to the University of Twente have been selected by StartupDelta to present their technologies in Las Vegas. That is where the largest technology trade fair in the world will be taking place starting 9 January 2018: CES 2018. The start-ups are part of a delegation of 53 start-ups from the Netherlands. Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje will accompany them. The selected start-ups from Twente are: 20Face, Aryzon, Athom, Grasp, Scalys, SwipeGuide and Serious VR.  

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the world's largest technology trade fair and takes place annually in Las Vegas from 9 to 12 January. Global tech companies such as Google, Samsung and Amazon present their product announcements and promising start-ups showcase the innovations of the future.

DUTCH START-UP DELEGATION  

53 promising start-ups are leaving the Netherlands to go to Las Vegas to present their latest technologies at the CES. There, they will meet potential investors and other influencers in the tech field. They will present their products to international tech journalists and they will be able to have a close look at the latest trends and innovations by international tech experts. 

The start-ups from Twente are:

·         Aryzon: UT start-up, focused on 3D augmented reality for consumers

·         20Face: UT spin-off, focused on supreme facial recognition technology

·         Serious VR: UT start-up, offering virtual training solutions and data delivery

·         SwipeGuide: UT start-up, developing visual and interactive manuals

·         Grasp: UT spin-off, focused on smart big data analysis algorithms

·         Scalys: advanced high-performance embedded system solutions

·         Athom: Homey as speech-driven technology to operate anything in and around your home (founded by former UT students). 

HIGH-TECH TWENTE

The seven start-ups from Twente will receive support during the CES from Mike Verkouter and Remon van der Woude, start-up ambassadors for Novel-T. Mike: 'As one of the innovation hubs associated with StartupDelta, Novel-T works every day to create added value for innovative start-ups from Twente and the adjoining areas. The contacts we establish in Las Vegas and San Francisco are very valuable for the technology sector. They lead us, and the start-ups, to new investors and interesting networks.'
