UT Young Alumni Network organizes its first workshop on effective elevator pitching

Do you know you only have one chance to make a good first impression? And that you can prepare yourself to make this first good impression? This was one of the starters and most important messages during the workshop elevator pitching of the UT Young Alumni Network. Wednesday November 29th, 25 young UT’ers practiced elevator pitching in Deventer. Keeping in mind the tips of Toastmasters’ coaches Patrick de Wit and Timo Kobes, the participants pitched, listened and gave feedback. Hence the motto of the workshop; learning by doing. For choosing the subjects of their pitches, the participants used a great deal of imagination: keeping a dog at the office,  a Segway tour in Deventer, brewing beer at home and the difference between being living in Holland and The Netherlands.

After pitching, the enthusiastic founders of Davo Brewing let the participants taste 3 self brewed beers. Obviously, the beer was tasted and assessed by the participants with great enthusiasm.
