The idea is to have a designer like Daan Roosegaarde do a major high-tech/art project on campus together with students. It goes without saying that the result needs to be visible in the campus’s physical environment. Thanks to his open mindset, Roosegaarde will definitely be an inspiration to our students. Such a project can be very challenging at the technical/academic level as well and can be perfectly combined with the TOM programme. Roosegaarde’s luminous motorway and glow-in-the-dark bicycle track, for instance, are multidisciplinary projects and interesting topics for a wide range of disciplines ranging from physics, chemistry and electrical engineering to information technology and industrial design engineering.

In order to finance Roosegaarde, sponsors may be contacted to connect their names to the project, since he is sure to provide spectacular projects that will possibly also attract international attention.
