Dr. Margareta Johanson is based at the Dept of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science at Lund University and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Sweden. "The Arctic ice is melting: why should I be worried me?" Is the central question in this lecture. Dr. Johansson has extensive experience in doing research related to the Arctic, which ranges from glaciology / climatology to arctic ecology. |

Prof. Dr. Stan Bentvelsen is a professor and researcher at the University of Amsterdam (UVA). As a physicist, he is also an employee of CERN (Geneva), the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. "Higgs and other elementary particles - research at CERN" will serve the general theme of this course. |
