Hamburg, Friday 23 November

Hamburg, Friday 23 November

Rik-Jan Lemmen is currently working at H.J. Airbus Operations GmbH at the department Stress office A380 Forward and Aft Fuselage (FAF). He used to be a student at Delft University but is still involved as Airbus ambassador for TU Delft in the Airbus Group University Partner Programm (AGUPP) and Alumni Ambassador for Aerospace Engineering in North Germany.

“Student for life, ‘the sky is not the limit’ and beyond!”

“My time at Delft University of Technology has formed me as a person. I always considered my first weeks in Delft as the start of a new life. Still, I thought I could remain the same person as I always was.
Now 21 years later, I’m here in Hamburg, responsible for the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) of the structure of the Airbus A380 and responsible for 2 kids. I want to share with Alumni my experience how the university has influenced me, maybe even changes me, and how this has helped me in my career and beyond”
