UT/TU Online Alumni Event - Spain

If getting together in-person isn’t possible, let’s meet virtually!

On Thursday April 23rd at 20.00hrs you are invited to join alumni from both your own city and other parts of Spain as part of a special online event and borrel for our DEAN* communities in the country. The interactive evening programme includes brief updates from the universities, followed by a short talk by TU Eindhoven alumna Derya Sever, Supply Chain specialist at Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF).

Doctors without Borders (as it’s translated) is an international non-profit providing medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. The organization employes over 67,000 staff members working in over 70 countries. Our Barcelona based alumna speaker Derya has worked for MSF since 2017 and during her short talk will share personal field stories from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Yemen, as well as give some insight into how complex supply chain processes can be improved in a socially responsible manner. During the Q&A session, you will also have a chance to learn how the COVID-19 crisis has impacted their operations.

Per tradition, our gathering concludes with a virtual borrel (BYOB) where you and fellow alumni living in Barcelona, Madrid and other parts of Spain will be mixed with each other to maximize interactions and stimulate conversations! Make sure to also bring some chips and your favorite salsa dipping sauce 😊

Why are your Alumni Offices organizing this online event?
Alumni networks such as DEAN can be extremely useful resources for tapping into fellow alumni for advice and support particularly during crisis periods. The new online event format has been developed to enhance local connections between alumni and is an addition to the existing channel the LinkedIn Group DEAN Spain and newly city based WhatsApp Groups.

To join this event register here so that further details can be shared. Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 100 participants for this activity – if necessary a waiting list will be created (registrations are handled by TU Delft Alumni Relations)

Unable to attend but still interested in being added to your local alumni whatsapp group? Let us know also via the registration form.

Note that this is our second online DEAN event with future virtual gatherings also planned over the next few weeks in other locations around the world.
