DriveUThrough: unique campus tour

From 6 June, the University of Twente will be offering study seekers a campus experience that is coronaproof and unique: the DriveUThrough. Just like the recent Online Open Days, this physical outing on the one and a half square kilometre campus is an alternative to the open days that currently can’t take place due to the corona crisis.

The DriveUThrough in short:

  • A surprising alternative to a physical open day or online open day
  • Grab your car and make a nice, inspiring ride along all kinds of special locations on the UT campusEnjoy the ride with your parents (or your friends/classmates)
  • Taste the atmosphere on campus and in the surrounding area
  • Get a good impression of the buildings, facilities and beautiful parks
  • Go home at the end of the ride with a clear picture of where you're going to study, recreate and maybe even live

During the DriveUThrough visitors get answers to questions like:

  • In which UT-program did Sid Sijbrandij find a gateway to Silicon Valley?
  • Where on campus did UT student Cees Links invent WiFi?
  • Where did Jitse Groen come up with the plan to set up Thuisbezorgd.nl?

HOW IT WORKS

From 6 June we will go live with the DriveUThrough. Care to join us? After registration we will give you different dates (incl. time slot) in which you can drive the tour, this way we prevent too many people on campus at the same time. Come to campus with your own car at the agreed time. Upon arrival on campus you will receive a route booklet with rules and access to a special app with questions, facts, photos and videos.
