As of 1 July, Appèl will start the preparations for the new catering concept 'FoodCity' on the campus. In the summer, the restaurants in the UT buildings will be adjusted to the new concept by Appèl itself.
Below a schedule is given of the timing of adjustments at which building, including the locations of temporary catering counters.
Until the official opening of the remodelled restaurants, the new catering concept from Appèl and the look and feel of ‘FoodCity’ will not really be visible yet. The opening hours of the temporary catering locations are in line with the hours as we were used to during the summer period.
THE HORST
As of 9 July, the remodelling of the restaurant will start. Until August 24, there will be a temporary catering counter in the hall of the Horst. As is customary during the summer period, the counter will be open between 12.00 and 13.30 hours.
THE SPIEGEL
As of 9 July, the restaurant's revision will also start here. Until 24 August, there will be a temporary catering counter in the hall of the Spiegel. As we are used to during the summer period, the counter is open between 12.00 and 13.30 hours.
RAVELIJN
From 16 July until 27 August, the catering counter in the Ravelijn will be closed. The revision towards the ‘FoodCity’ concept will start on 10 August.
DE VRIJHOF
As usual, the restaurant of the Vrijhof will be closed during the summer period, from 16 July until 24 August. During that period, the restaurant will also be adjusted. The restaurant will be open again when the Kick-in takes place, as of 27 August.
DE WAAIER
From 16 July until 20 July, the restaurant of the Waaier is still open between 12.00 - 13.30 hours and between 17.00 - 18.00. The restaurant is closed on Fridays. The adjustments of the restaurant of the Waaier will start on 23 July.
From 23 July until 17 August there is a temporary catering counter during lunch between 12.00 - 13.30 hours in the coffee corner of the Waaier.
HOT STREET FOOD MEALS ON O&O SQUARE
From 23 July until 17 August, hot street food meals are offered on the O&O square between 12.00 - 13.00 hours and between 17.00 – 18.00 hours, except Fridays.
OPENING WEEK
From 27 August until 31 August Appèl will organize an opening week with various activities.
