Eurekite founded by researchers of MESA + Institute for Nanotechnology University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands.

The Flexiramics® technology of Eurekite was awarded with the “Best Startup prize for the best industrial innovation in nanotechnology and new materials” at the MECSPE fair in Parma.

MECSPE 2017

Eurekite won the best startup prize of the nano2start contest during MECSPE 2017 (23-25 March 2017). MECSPE is a large B2B fair held yearly in Parma that welcomed 45.817 visitors and 2.051 exhibitors in 2017 from the main sectors of the manufacturing industry. The fair hosted 11 shows ranging from Manufacturing 4.0, additive manufacturing, robotics or materials. Eurekite participated in the Nanotechnology and New materials square, which gathered several innovative companies and research institutions of the nanotechnology space for the third time at MECSPE. The show hosted a complete program of nanotechnology-related presentations and videos, as well as, provided booths for companies and institutions to display their innovations.

Eurekite presented Flexiramics®, a flexible ceramic nanofiber technology

Eurekite was awarded with the “Best Startup prize for the best industrial innovation in nanotechnology and new materials” of the nano2start contest. This contest was held amongst participants of the Nanotechnology and New materials square, “the most interesting part of the fair” according to some visitors. Eurekite presented Flexiramics®, a flexible ceramic nanofiber technology, and its possibilities of being applied to enhance high performance polymer films in several fields, such as flexible electronics. According to Massimo Perucca, Managing Director of Project Hub-360 and Scientific Coordinator of the Nanotechnology and new materials square, “Eurekite proposes a very interesting business model as the company positions itself as a solution provide with Flexiramics®, a disruptive technology in the materials space”.

"This award is a nice motivation for us to stay focused and work hard"

Eurekite’s team is proud of the achievement. “This prize will help us to position Eurekite as ceramic nanofibers worldwide experts”, says Gerard Cadafalch (CEO/Co-Founder). “Participating in such event gave us visibility amongst the Italian and European markets”. The innovations of Eurekite were displayed in a 4-page article of the journal Trattamenti e Finiture (treatments and finishings), a journal dedicated to the processing of materials for an audience of industry experts.
