The ERC – European Research Council – marks its 10th anniversary in 2017.

With a current budget of € 13.1 billion (2014-2020), the ERC’s mission continues to be to support the most brilliant minds and their ambitious research projects, in Europe.

ERC Week from 13 to 19 March 2017

To mark the ERC’s 10th anniversary, research institutions and national authorities in Europe will hold various events during the "ERC Week" from 13 to 19 March 2017. Celebrations will also take place throughout 2017 and around the world, in the USA, India, Japan and other countries.

Life-size cutouts of the ERC laureates and more

The UT organized an information session for all interested scientists on March 13 about ERC grants with general information on how grant application works for ERC. On March 14 the Rector Magnificus Thom Palstra got together with ERC laureates from the UT to discuss support structures to individual grants, ERC in particular. ERC projects at the UT will be disseminated on ERC Research@UT and a special campaign: life-size cutouts of the ERC laureates will be placed around campus.
