1st Poster Award at CLINAM (2016) Conference for Clinical Nanomedicine and Targeted Medicine (Basel, Switzerland)
Jonas Schnittert, a PhD student supervised by Dr. Jai Prakash in the section Targeted Therapeutics of the group Biomaterials Science and Technology, was awarded the first poster price in the category Basic Research at the CLINAM Conference for Clinical Nanomedicine and Targeted Medicine. The title of the presented work was Targeted delivery of anti-miRNA-199a using self-assembling peptide nanocomplexes inhibits stromal cancer associated fibroblast activation. This work aims to modulate tumor stroma, which is strongly abundant in solid tumors, in such a way that it losses its tumor promoting properties.
