The Executive Board of the University of Twente has decided to reappoint Tanya Bondarouk as Dean of the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS). She will start her second term on 26 March following her initial appointment, which began in 2022.
Tanya on her reappointment: “I am grateful for the confidence of the Executive Board and take this decision as a sign of trust in the course we have been following together. In recent years, we have made deliberate choices in the context of financial pressure, changing student inflow, and increasing external demands. We have prioritised coherence over proliferation and quality over speed. These choices were not always easy, but they reflect what I consider responsible academic leadership.
My second term as Dean will remain guided by consolidation and shared responsibility: doing what matters well, protecting academic depth, and supporting people. I look forward to continuing this work together, with confidence in what defines BMS and trust in our ability to move forward thoughtfully.”
The Executive Board expresses its appreciation for Bondarouk’s commitment and leadership and has full confidence in her continued contribution. The EB wishes her every success in her second term as dean.
