New hotel at campus University of Twente

In the autumn of 2018, the current conference hotel at the campus of the University of Twente, Drienerburght, will take its residence in the new building De Hogekamp.

At that time, the hotel will also change its name to a more internationally recognizable name: U Parkhotel.

The former faculty building for Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, one of the first buildings raised when the UT was founded in 1965, is currently being transformed into a sustainable property. One of the facilities that will be housed in the refurbished building is the new U Parkhotel.

Quality and sustainability

The U Parkhotel is an internationally oriented hotel, where quality and sustainability go hand in hand. The hotel will be the proud owner of the Green Key, the largest international eco label awarded to facilities that promote sustainable tourism. The U in the international name refers to the fact that the guest is the central focus of the hotel, as well as to the University of Twente.

The new hotel will feature 72 rooms, a spacious restaurant with a terrace, a bar and modern conference facilities. Eight executive rooms and a boardroom with a panoramic view of the surrounding bocage are located on the 9th floor. The design is characterized by a contemporary and warm atmosphere.

There is a perfect connection between the location of the new hotel and the campus boulevard, allowing guests to make optimum use of the sports, culture and nature facilities that are available on campus.
