Update road construction works 30 km/h zone Boerderwijweg and Calslaan-North will be reconstructed

The next phase of the road construction works will start on Monday 19 July. The intersection Boerderijweg – Drienerlolaan will then be closed to traffic. The road construction works around the oval roundabout will be almost ready at that time. Motorised traffic can use the main entrance of the campus again.

Also, buses can then use the oval roundabout, which means that the stops at Hallenweg and De Zul will be reopened. Stops on the Boerderijweg, Campuslaan and Calslaan will be temporarily closed from that moment on. If the work goes according to plan, the intersection of Boerderijweg - Drienerlolaan will be ready around August 23.

Campus will become a 30 km zone
The University of Twente wants to make its campus safer and more bicycle-friendly. From 24 May onwards, various changes are made to different traffic situations so that they comply with the guidelines of a 30 km zone. The work is expected to be completed in early 2022.
