The Archive Law provides that governments must bring and preserve their information in good, orderly and accessible condition. The information should therefore be easy to find and consult. Governments should also be obliged to ensure the destruction of information eligible. Transferred archives managed by Archive and whose retention period is known at the time of transfer shall be destroyed free of charge if the retention period arrives.
For the destruction of archives, a destruction procedure is used. By following this procedure, you can demonstrate that destruction of archives is accountable. The procedure is based on the legal frameworks applicable to the UT and are laid down in the Record Management Regulation.
