This manual describes how you can configure a mobile phone with the operating system Android to synchronize your UT e-mail, contact and agenda. The UT does not support Android mobile phones, so additional support with installation. The use of this manual is at own risk.


  • This manual does not apply for students.
  • The manual has been written for an Android phone. The steps are almost identical for other mobile phones with Android or other versions of Android. There is a possibility that the screenshots will differ.
  • This manual uses a consistent style of writing: references to text and buttons on screens are printed in italics, information that you have to enter yourself is printed in bold.
  • Make sure you have a working internet connection.

Configure e-mail, contact and Agenda

  • Go to the Settings, Accounts, Add account
  • Select Exchange.

  • Enter you e-mail address and tap on Manual setup.
  • Select Exchange.
  • At Username enter your (UT) e-mail address.
  • Enter your password.
  • At Server address, enter:
  • Accept the security message.
  • Select what and how often you want to synchronise.
  • Accept the security message (data can be wiped remotely when for instance the phone is stolen).
  • The account is added.
