Description

Gender imbalance remains an important and timely issue in STEM education. What is it like to be a woman or gender-minority student working on a project in an otherwise all-male group? Through an immersive VR experience, you will step into the student’s role and explore interactions with different types of peers. Together, we will reflect on group dynamics, the roles students take on, and what can reasonably be expected of both students and educators. The training focuses on developing greater self-awareness and identifying practical ways to support inclusive group work in your teaching.
